Department of Handcrafts

It was established in 2015 as a program of Conservation and Restoration of Traditional Textiles within the Department of Handicrafts in Sultanhanı district of Vocational School of Technical Sciences. Our department provides education in Sultanhanı district. The aim of the program who knows the raw materials that make up traditional textiles, has knowledge about weaving techniques, recognizes their deterioration, can take measures against deterioration, knows and applies the principles and techniques of protection and repair of traditional textile products. After this training, ethnography museums of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism belong to the private sector. museums, textile conservation-restoration laboratories and traditional textile restoration, especially carpets.
